Vice President – Human Resources

Our current need is for an experienced, skilled Vice President of Human Resources to guide the recruitment, training, retention and support of our workforce. The VP of Human Resources leads the HR activities of Heartland and is responsible for organizing, directing, and managing the Human Resource functions of Heartland.


Work may include, but is not limited to, the following examples:

• Developing and implementing recruitment and retention strategies which builds a diverse, skilled, professional workforce team

• Serving as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems

• Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements

• Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.

• Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives

• Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and health programs

• Oversee the evaluation, classification and rating of occupations and job positions

• Develop personnel forecast to project employment needs

• Serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team


The minimum education and experience required for this position are:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • three to five years’ related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
