This is a security position of moderate difficulty involving a variety of tasks requiring independent work within established policies and timeframes.  Work may include verification of inmate employment by on-site visits and confirmation through inmate employers, verification of inmate addresses on home confinement, processing and maintaining records, and reports. This position requires diplomacy, tact, assertiveness, and professionalism in developing supportive relationships with community employers.   The employee is expected to have an understanding of specialized terminology.  Work is provided under the supervision of a superior; however, the employee works independently within established guidelines.  Driving to and from inmate job sites and home addresses is required so employee must maintain a valid operator’s license in their state of residence.


Work may include, but is not limited to, the following examples:

  • Attends work as scheduled and remains alert at all times.
  •  Attends staff meetings and training, as appropriate
  • Complies with Code of Conduct and reports violations immediately.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of business and offender information.
  • Performs other related work, as assigned.
  • Establishes  a rapport with employers.
  • Collect weekly time cards of offenders from their respective employers.
  • Develop a marketing brochure with information on the benefits of hiring RRC offenders that includes tax credit and bonding information.


  • Knowledge of computer information systems and software

  • Good oral and written communication skills that include reading, writing and speaking the English language

  • Ability to make and apply routine decisions in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to complete assignments accurately within specified timeframes


  • Possession of a high school diploma or GED; ANDTwo (2) years of successful work experience including at least,
  • One (1) year of experience in military, civilian security, law enforcement, or related work in the field of Corrections; OR
  • 30 or more earned credit hours from an accredited college or university with a minimum of three (3) earned credit hours in criminal justice.


  • No candidate may be considered for employment who is, or has been for the past two (2) years under the supervision of Federal, State, County or Municipal Corrections Department nor have any pending felony or misdemeanor charges other than minor traffic charges.
  • Driving may be required for this position. The successful candidate must have and remain in possession of a valid current driver’s license, automobile insurance, and be insurable under the agency’s motor vehicle insurance policy.
  • All candidates for employment must meet the established minimum qualifications for employment as identified by the applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid or achieves certification within 60 days of employment. (Note: This certification must be maintained current throughout employment).
